Today for Graphic design we worked on our Cultural Stories Postcards, which has to be the hardest one to come up with an idea for. Today was an pretty slow day beginning about 3:00 after a majority of our work had been finished. Today we had part of the video team try and take a shot for some scene in the computer lab and William (Philliam) decided to show us some of his metal favorites at the exact same time “what a co-incidence.” The professional development thing I attended on Wednesday wasn’t very interesting it mostly went over safety and workers rights which were pretty obvious and well known. The only good things that came out of it is that we got 0.5 points of High school credit, as well as a comfy T-shirt out of the ordeal. Overall today was a good day. Today in Graphic design we worked on our alternative projects in Adobe Illustrator for something related to violence prevention. Today for lunch we had hot dogs which weren’t half bad, and we were allowed to get more than 1 since most of the kids were gone today. Today was also a majority of the Graphics team’s off day or Professional Development date. Today for a walk we went to the park and walked around the building looking for a injured baby bird I had spotted during my bike ride around the building. Overall today was a good day.

Today in graphic design we began working on our violence prevention postcards, which I finished my rough draft at about 2:45-ish. Lunch today was pretty good I don’t know what the sauce on the chicken patties was but it was pretty good. After our afternoon walk which was only the Graphic design team which during I had to run back to get a member of our team to join the walk, we went on to work hard and finish our assigned projects and add more detail to our projects which we considered “done”. Today in the lab we fought off an invasion of evasive flies which flew in from downstairs after people left the doors open all day, a lot of today was really slapping flies with whatever I could get my hands on. Overall today was a good day.

Today in graphic design we spent the first half of the day finishing up our Complete streets postcards if you didn’t finish it on Tuesday. Today for lunch we had rice and what seemed like meat and peas, it was pretty good. After the walk there wasn’t really much that we could do because most of us are done with our postcards so we worked on Miscellaneous projects, with some of us like me trying to learn Adobe Illustrator. Who would then end up waiting about an half an hour waiting for the color of the font to change. Overall today was a pretty boring day.

Today in graphic design we continued working on and finishing our Complete Streets postcards which we were originally told were due that day, but there may be a chance we get to do some finishing touches on them on Thursday. Today for lunch we had small beef patties, with green beens, and and fruit from what seems like a Dole fruit cup. For progress on my image I worked on the location for the B.A.L.L. logo on the license plate which originally was an Wisconsin license plate which I altered to make it look like a Minnesota license plate and to fit the B.A.L.L logo on. After the afternoon walk which was better than usual thanks to the pathway we took I worked on my sailboat which is too crude to go on the blog. Overall today was a good day.

Today In the graphics team we worked on our Complete Streets postcards after it was explained as to what complete streets is. Today for lunch we had some sort of beens and other things on what I believe is a tortilla. My postcard is about the project to build a northern Greenway like they have in Southern Minneapolis, it’d encourage people to bike more as well as bring commerce and business to the local establishments. After the lunchtime walk  I had mostly finished my project so I decided to put some finishing touches on the reflection of the bike on the car’s hood and the mask of the bike. Overall today was a good day.

Today we did our final work on our B.A.L.L. graphic design projects as we waited for William’s lazy behind to get to the building so he could tell us what needs improvement. We also learned about the NBA G-league which is a minor league (kinda like baseball). Today for lunch we had weird triangular tacos which the tortilla’s were pretty bad but the ingredients themselves were pretty good. Overall today was a good day.

Today in graphic design we went over are B.A.L.L. postcards and ways we can accomplish doing them. We went outside, walked around a bit, did an activity about teamwork which my own team did horrible on. We also did some “posters” about B.A.L.L. and what it means to us. Honestly I did minimal effort on it. Today we had to get booted out of the computer lab because of the school needing a place to do a meeting, which gave us an hour of paid downtime “which was appreciated”. Overall today was a great day.

Today in graphic design we we’re told to do some finishing work on our obesity prevention photoshop assignments, which were done pretty fast for most of us. Today we had a couple of people come in and make B.A.L.L. T-shirts for everybody which we would then go out front and take a photo of everybody. Later in the day a couple of people from the Adminastrative team would come in and ask me and somebody else to do an interview relating to obesity prevention. Overall today was a good day

Today was the first time an project was due in graphic design. At about half an hour to 3 our instructor William began to have us introduce our Photoshop obesity prevention postcards to the others and explain  our thought processes behind it. We also had our work criticized and given some feedback on what we should improve on. Overall today was a pretty good day.
