Youth in Charge

Today for Graphic design we worked on our Cultural Stories Postcards, which has to be the hardest one to come up with an idea for. Today was an pretty slow day beginning about 3:00 after a majority of our work had been finished. Today we had part of the video team try and take a shot for some scene in the computer lab and William (Philliam) decided to show us some of his metal favorites at the exact same time “what a co-incidence.” The professional development thing I attended on Wednesday wasn’t very interesting it mostly went over safety and workers rights which were pretty obvious and well known. The only good things that came out of it is that we got 0.5 points of High school credit, as well as a comfy T-shirt out of the ordeal. Overall today was a good day. Last week I went to professional development training. We learned about work safety and our rights as working minors. We also learned about financial literacy and set career goals. We completed a work book and watched a couple videos plus we got a certificate at the end. All in all it wasn’t too bad and I am happy we got school credit for going.

the training last week was prity boring but it was fine cuz i was gittin payed.

today I was pretty stressed because I still need to add a line to my rap and the interviews we taped we lost so we just have to conduct another one. Also on the professional development day we just talked more about future career options and choice. we took tests and broke off into groups, honestly, it was like school which made it boring.

today was bad. I’m just pointing that out. I have to calm down my jokes because I got yelled at for making one. And lunch was horrible. At that, a vending machine took my dollar. That’s stupid! It’s a 1/10….

the professional training is bad. I dislike it because of my act. and the students reaction. at that, I’m around people who don’t have a same interest as me. also, lunch was bad. hey, at least we get paid. it’s a 2/10

I didn’t put on a number for my day because I didn’t know what number to put. My schedule for this week was a little confusing because of my Professional Development Day. I finally finished my other three postcards about violence prevention. They were a little more complicated to create and took a little more time than the previous ones. I wanted to check and fix any mistakes, errors, or anything that could make them better, but time is not on my side right now.

So today we only had to work until 2:30 and we didnt work on tuesday. I have to go to another training on thursday and thats why i didnt work tuesday. Today went good and i restarted my postcard. I also got interviewed at the end of the the day with a couple of other people and i t was fun and funny.
